We're going to use dried chickpeas since my boyfriend picked up the wrong ones but we'll make do ;) You can use 1 can of canned chickpeas and skip to step 14! *you won't need the water*

Needed supplies

1 cup dried chickpeas

4 cups cold water

Place in a large bowl & cover

Soak overnight (10 hours is a good amount of time)

Drain and rinse

Comparison of dried to soaked

Chickpeas and 4 cups water in a large pot

Cover and bring to a boil. Cover and allow to simmer for approximately one hour.

Relax with a cup of joe and a good book

'Simmer down now'

Drain and allow to cool 15 minutes

Cooked chickpeas (this is what drained and rinsed canned chickpeas will look like)

Now it's time to blend!!

Put chickpeas in the blender. Give 'em a good blitz! Slowly add the rest of the ingredients, continuing to blend it all together.

The quantity of the ingredients is really all up to you and your tastes. Give the mixture a taste and adjust it until you've reached the prefect flavor :)

You may need to add a little water to smooth it some, but again that's all a preference thing ;) Blend and add until you love the taste!

Put in a bowl & enjoy with your favorite chips and veggies!!
